How Does It Work?

Most resume projects begin with an initial intake call to gather the initial requirements for the project, and set expectations for the rest of the engagement, including delivery timelines, revisions process, follow up, and support. Our general process is laid out below.

Initial Call

Our initial intake call typically lasts between 30-45 minutes, during which time we will talk about your current situation, what challenges you’re experiencing with the resume, or in your search, what kinds of positions you’re targeting, and discuss your background in more depth. This is really our strategy session to determine how you want to position yourself to potential employers, and what key points you would like the resume (and other materials) to communicate about you.

From there, normal turnaround time is typically 5-7 business days, or within 1-1.5 weeks. For rush service, please first inquire about availability.

And while we do realize that great job opportunities might pop up while we are working on the resume, we cannot speed up the timeline once we’ve already begun work, as we have a very specific schedule that we need to stick to in order to produce the best work for you!

Response Time

We typically respond to inquiries, questions, and feedback very quickly. Please allow 48 hours for us to reply to your emails or phone calls.

Our team is 100% dedicated to Los Angeles Resume Studio, and our office is generally open during normal business hours, Monday through Friday. Since many people are working full-time, we can occasionally accommodate evening hours for scheduling intake calls, but daytime hours are preferred.


Two rounds of revisions are included for your each document in the resume writing package you purchase. There is flexibility as long as we don’t change project scope after the documents are written. Our goal is to deliver a resume or document that you’re fully confident presenting to the world, and that you feel markets your value effectively. We are always willing to make changes to ensure that outcome.

In order to ensure that we are able to deliver your finalized documents in the timeliest manner, we typically request that all revisions and feedback be provided within 1 week. At that point, we will turn around your changes within 3-5 business days. Please note that, while you may certainly take additional time to review any and all documents, it may result in a longer turnaround time as a result.

We always encourage former clients to come back to me with revisions, updates, or changes as their career progresses – whether it’s creating a new version of a cover letter, or updating a new position on the resume. Minor updates often do not incur any additional charge, while those requiring a little extra work will be billed at an hourly consulting rate of $85/hr.

Payment Policy

Payment is required within 48 hours of scheduling your initial call in order to confirm our appointment. If you have questions as to which option may be best for you, please feel free to reach out to us.  Unless otherwise agreed upon (hourly projects, etc.), we cannot start work on any projects until payment is finalized. All major credit and debit cards are accepted via secure web checkout.

Satisfaction Guarantee

Because there are multiple variables involved in the success of the job search process, we cannot offer a one-size-fits-all guarantee based on numbers or timelines. However, we do guarantee that if you are unsatisfied with your final product, we will continue to work with you to find a solution and get it to a place that you are happy with. We encourage you to provide your feedback and take advantage of the revision process.

Additionally, if you feel that you aren’t receiving an appropriate level of response to your resume after working together, come back to us within 3 months and we will re-evaluate the document to see if there is anything we can tweak for better results.

We cannot provide refunds in the event that you choose not to utilize any or all parts of the purchased service, or if you do not utilize services within 12 months. In some cases, they may be transferrable if you wish to gift them to someone else. If there is any discrepancy in the quality of the service you receive, we ask that you contact us directly, as we am always happy to try to work with you to resolve any questions or concerns.
